Ensure Your Booth Creates an Experiential Environment for Your Visitors

It has often been said that the real purpose of a trade show booth is to attract the right attention. Getting your booth to accomplish this requires an understanding of the three zones of interest. It is crucial that all three be met and techniques developed to maximize each.

Learning Objectives
-Understand the three zones of interest.
-Develop winning techniques to create a memorable visitor experience.
-Integrate your physical presence into your total strategy.

New DeltaMatrix Door Prototype!

We’ve been working hard to meet our Dealers’ needs to create a door which is more user friendly and versatile.

This door has a pivot and a reversible lock which allows it to be an “in” or an “out” swinging door and a “left” or “right” door.

Also, this new door works with Matrix plates!

Traditional Marketing Strategies Still Work!

Last week I traveled to Long Island, New York to spend a couple of days with Steve and his father, Bill Griffith, owners of Nationwide Displays.  Steve had called me in June to see if Laarhoven Design wanted to show anything new at his upcoming open house.  When Steve suggested a round of golf following the event I Immediately said Laarhoven Design was in and I would be there personally.

Nationwide Displays is a mid-size boutique full service exhibit house that has been selling Laarhoven products for over 20 years.  They have always been early adopters of Laarhoven’s new products so I suggested that we would like to test our new Freeform Genesis, which will be launched later this Fall.   I also thought our newly priced Pirouet would be a hit along with our newly launched wrinkle resistent EZ Stretch fabric for LPStretch.

When I arrived on Thursday morning all of my displays were already set-up…  thanks guys!   Nationwide’s crew commented on how easy it was to set up the newly refined Freeform.  They had also spent a significant amount of time cleaning house and setting up additional exhibit properties.  Walking out of the showroom into the warehouse there was a client’s 20×20 hybrid system that incorporated aluminum extrusion and DeltaFabric.  As I walked further into the shop there was a 40×50 custom island exhibit.  And past that a client’s brand new 10’ LP with two 80” Pirouets…with direct print graphics that were printed at Larhoven Design.

Nationwide’s staff had spent weeks preparing for this event and it showed.  The building was spotless.  And there was a steady flow of customers and prospects due to the effective e-mail and phone campaign.  I heard several conversations in which new prospects were pleased to find an experienced local source for their tradeshow programs.   I heard other conversations in which long term clients were expressing their amazement at learning the full scope of what Nationwide could do for them.  All in all it was a very good day and I am certain it will lead to additional revenue for Nationwide in the near future.  And in today’s business climate who couldn’t use some more revenue, right?  An old-fashioned, well-timed Open House still works!

Now, as for golf…   The next morning we played at Oyster Bay Golf Club.  The weather was great!  The company was great!  The course was great!  The players… they hit lots of shots…let’s leave it at that.   Thank you Steve for a great event and a great day of golf!
